Vivienda para el Bienestar expands housing access in Colima and Celaya

The ‘Vivienda para el Bienestar’ program is expanding its reach across Mexico through new housing deliveries and subsidy formalizations. In Villa de Álvarez, Colima, 52 homes were delivered at the Infonavit La Fortuna development. This initiative is part of a larger state-wide plan to construct 20,700 new homes with an investment exceeding 2.4 billion pesos, a goal that was increased from 15,000 due to local government coordination. The project is expected to generate approximately 62,000 direct jobs and benefit nearly 74,000 people.

In Celaya, Guanajuato, more than 270 families are set to receive dignified housing through a formal subsidy agreement with the National Housing Commission (CONAVI). These subsidies will allow residents to access credits for apartments being constructed in the Las Huertas development. The formalization process included providing beneficiaries with information regarding eligibility, the nature of the recoverable subsidies, and fraud prevention measures.
