Vivienne Jolie Drops Pitt Surname in Legal Name Change

Vivienne Marcheline Jolie‑Pitt, the youngest daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 17 to change her legal name to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, citing personal reasons. A judge is scheduled to hear the case on November 2. Vivienne becomes the fourth of the six siblings to abandon the Pitt surname; Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara have previously done the same, while twin brother Knox has informally used Jolie and brother Pax remains the only sibling still using Pitt. The family’s divorce was finalized in December 2024 after years of legal proceedings that also involved their French winery, Château Miraval. Brad Pitt is set to appear in the upcoming films “Heart of the Beast” (Sept. 25) and “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” (Nov. 25), while Angelina Jolie continues her own projects.
