Vivienne Marcheline Jolie nears official name change
Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, the youngest daughter of actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, is nearing the completion of a legal process to officially change her surname. According to Los Angeles County Superior Court records, the 18-year-old has fulfilled a key California legal requirement by publishing a public notice of her request in the Los Angeles Daily Journal for four consecutive weeks between July 24 and August 14, 2026.
The legal mechanism allows community members to file written objections before a judicial hearing. Vivienne filed the formal petition in mid-July 2026, shortly after reaching the legal age of 18 to manage such requests independently, citing “personal” reasons for the change.
A decisive court hearing is scheduled for November 2, 2026. If no formal challenges are registered by that date, a judge is expected to ratify her new legal name as Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. This move follows previous instances where she was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” during her work on the Broadway production “The Outsiders.”
