Vivo and Nothing release diverse smartphone models

The mid-range and high-end smartphone markets are seeing diverse technological approaches from manufacturers like Vivo and Nothing.

In the Vivo lineup, the X300 series offers generational improvements over the X200. The X300 FE features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, providing faster and more precise unlocking compared to the optical reader on the X200 FE. While both models maintain high durability with IP68 and IP69 certifications, the X300 FE is slightly heavier at 191 grams compared to the 186 grams of the X200 FE.

In the mid-range segment, the Nothing Phone (4a) and Vivo Y500 cater to different user priorities. The Nothing Phone (4a) focuses on performance and photography, utilizing a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a multi-lens camera system including a 50 MP main sensor and a 50 MP periscopic telephoto lens. Conversely, the Vivo Y500 prioritizes battery life and ruggedness, featuring an 8,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery and MIL-STD-810H military-standard durability, alongside IP68 and IP69 ratings.
