vivo announces Blue Image technology and X500 series features

At the vivo Creator Festival in Yantai, Shandong, vivo announced significant advancements in its Blue Image technology, which will debut with the upcoming X500 series. Key hardware updates include the global debut of the Blue Light Guard 900 sensor, capable of a 17EV dynamic range, and professional Log video hardware developed in collaboration with MediaTek.

The X500 series will introduce several industry firsts, including 8K native Live photos and 4K 240fps slow-motion video. The imaging system also features enhanced telephoto capabilities, such as a 200MP APO super telephoto lens in partnership with Zeiss and RAW domain generative reconstruction technology.

Artificial intelligence is being integrated deeper into the photography workflow. A new AI photography assistant will provide real-time composition and posture suggestions, while an AI-powered photo editor will allow for voice-commanded edits. To support a broader creative ecosystem, vivo is launching the Blue Image Academy and establishing strategic partnerships with news organizations like People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency to explore professional mobile workflows.
