Huawei unveils Watch D3 and GT 7 series at Munich event
At the ESC Congress 2026 in Munich, Huawei unveiled a new lineup of wearable technology, headlined by the Watch D3 and the Watch GT 7 series.
The Watch D3 is a specialized medical-grade smartwatch designed for continuous blood pressure monitoring. Unlike standard optical sensors, it utilizes an inflatable cuff integrated into the strap to provide pressure-based measurements. The new model features a slimmer 11.4mm profile and a larger 1.92-inch AMOLED display compared to its predecessor.
The Watch GT 7 series focuses on outdoor and extreme sports, featuring premium materials like titanium and nano-crystalline ceramic in the Pro model. Key upgrades include automated turn detection and G-force detection for skiing and snowboarding, as well as enhanced cycling insights. The series also includes the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro, which return to the European market with AI-powered health analysis and eSIM connectivity.
Additionally, Huawei introduced Terve Research, a digital health platform managed by Thryve. The platform aims to facilitate large-scale medical studies by allowing academic and medical institutions to utilize anonymized data collected from Huawei wearable devices.
