Vivo Watch GT 2 debuts in Czech Republic as many smartwatches face support cut‑off in 2026

Vivo introduced its first smartwatch to the Czech market with the Watch GT 2. The device features a large, bright display, up to two weeks of battery life, an aluminum case and is sold for roughly 3,000–3,500 CZK, with a promotional price of 2,299 CZK on the official online store. It runs on Vivo’s BlueOS, supports NFC payments, but lacks the ability to install third‑party apps.

Separately, manufacturers will end software support for almost twenty popular smartwatch models in 2026. The list includes Xiaomi Watch (Feb 2026), OnePlus Watch (Mar 2026), Huawei Watch GT 4 (Mar 2026), Huawei Band 9 (Apr 2026), Amazfit Bip 5 (Jun 2026), Fitbit Inspire 2 (Jun 2026) and several Samsung, Google and other models slated for later in the year. When support ends, devices will no longer receive security patches or new features, though they will continue to function.

Consumers are advised to consider long‑term software support when purchasing new wearables, especially those that store health data or enable contactless payments.
