vivo X Fold6 foldable smartphone announced for global markets
vivo has announced the global release of the X Fold6, a book-style foldable smartphone designed with a heavy emphasis on mobile photography. The device features an 8.02-inch inner LTPO AMOLED display and a 6.51-inch cover screen, both supporting 120Hz refresh rates and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
A central feature is the ZEISS-branded camera system, headlined by a 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). The setup also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Notably, the device supports a dedicated Gen 2 ZEISS optical teleconverter that provides an additional 2.35x optical magnification, aimed at improving long-distance shots for concerts and wildlife.
Under the hood, the global model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset. While the Chinese version features a 7,000mAh battery, the international version is expected to ship with a slightly smaller 6,900mAh capacity. The device also offers IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance and will run OriginOS 7 Fold based on Android 17. Retail listings in Italy suggest a price point exceeding €2,000.
