VIYA Health and Oyo State discuss expanding contraceptive access

VIYA Health, the exclusive Nigerian distributor for Incepta Pharmaceuticals, has entered discussions with the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board to expand access to affordable family planning services. The initiative focuses on increasing the availability of Medogen SubQ, a WHO-prequalified DMPA-SC contraceptive.

Muideen Babatunde Olatunji, Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board, stated that the state government is committed to investing in health commodities and collaborating with private-sector stakeholders. He noted that expanding the range of safe contraceptive options through primary healthcare centres is intended to improve maternal and child health outcomes and support informed reproductive health decisions.
