Vizio expands WatchFree+ content with original films and creator channels

Walmart-owned Vizio has announced a major expansion of its WatchFree+ streaming service, which includes the introduction of original programming and deepened partnerships with major media suppliers. A centerpiece of the expansion is the original holiday feature film ‘Jingle Bells Wedding Bells’, starring Rachel Bilson and Scott Foley, produced by ITV America Nashville and Happy Accidents. GEICO will serve as the presenting sponsor for the film.

To bolster its content library, Vizio is expanding its relationships with MGM, NBCUniversal, Disney, A&E, and A24. This will bring titles such as ‘The Good Doctor’, ‘Chicago Fire’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘Property Brothers’, and ‘Little House on the Prairie’ to the platform. Additionally, WatchFree+ is adding 40 creator-led channels covering genres like comedy, food, gaming, and lifestyle, featuring creators such as MrBeast and Nick DiGiovanni.

Vizio reported that its operating system became the top-selling smart TV OS in the United States during the first half of 2026, reaching 32 million yearly active devices. The company also noted a 58% year-over-year increase in viewing hours on the WatchFree+ platform, which currently offers over 45,000 movies and shows alongside more than 400 live and local channels.
