Vizsla Silver names Luis Lázaro President of Mexican Operations

Vizsla Silver Corp. announced the appointment of Luis Lázaro as President for its Mexican operations, effective immediately. Lázaro will lead the company’s activities in Mexico and oversee the development of its flagship Panuco silver project through permitting, construction and the target start of production in the second half of 2027. He reports to CEO Michael Konnert and will work with senior management to build teams, strengthen stakeholder relationships and ensure operational excellence.

Lázaro brings three decades of leadership experience in multinational listed companies and Mexican firms. He most recently served as chairman of Citrofrut, Mexico’s largest citrus‑juice processor, where he drove a corporate transformation and product‑portfolio upgrade. Earlier roles include heading the fisheries division of Grupo PINSA, founding the ethanol start‑up THAES, and holding operational leadership positions at CEMEX.
