Vizsla Silver shareholders approve board elections and rights plan

Vizsla Silver Corp shareholders approved all motions during the company’s annual general and special meeting held on October 8, 2026. A total of 188,580,782 shares were voted, representing 53.11% of all issued and outstanding shares at the record date.

Key outcomes of the meeting included the election of seven directors to the board, with individual support for nominees ranging from 58.75% to 99.78%. Shareholders also appointed Deloitte LLP as the company’s auditor and approved the continuation, amendment, and restatement of the Shareholder Rights Plan. This plan serves as a defense mechanism to make unsolicited takeovers more difficult by triggering specific measures if an investor accumulates a large stake without board approval.

Following the meeting, Vizsla Silver shares rose by 2.3% to 3.55 USD, though no specific operational news from the assembly was cited as the direct driver for the price increase.
