VJ Edgecombe shines in Sixers loss and discusses Olympic priorities

Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe delivered a strong individual performance during a preseason loss to the Boston Celtics, recording 19 points, four assists, and four steals in 26 minutes.

Despite the team's 144-106 defeat, Edgecombe showed improvement as a driver and playmaker. His performance comes amid high expectations for the 76ers following the additions of LeBron James and Jaylen Brown to the roster.

Separately, Edgecombe has drawn attention for his comments regarding his international priorities. During a livestream, the guard stated that representing the Bahamas in the Olympics would be a greater goal for him than winning an NBA championship. This sentiment highlights his commitment to the Bahamian national team, which seeks to achieve its first Olympic basketball appearance.
