VK Connect 2026 forum strengthens Vietnam-South Korea ties
The Vietnam–Korea Knowledge Connect Forum (VK Connect 2026) was held in Daegu on September 5, organized by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Busan and Yeungnam University. The event coincided with Vietnam’s 81st National Day and the 34th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.
Attended by over 300 delegates, including regional leaders, academics, and business representatives, the forum aims to strengthen the community of Vietnamese intellectuals and students in southern South Korea. The initiative seeks to pool expertise to support Vietnam’s innovation and meet South Korea’s demand for skilled talent in high-tech sectors, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and biomedicine.
Yeungnam University President Choi Oe-chool expressed commitment to making the forum a sustainable platform for engagement between Vietnamese experts and South Korean academic and business institutions. Additionally, the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry pledged to support the bilateral bridge through its representative offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
