VK Galeb wins Šalata Masters veteran water polo tournament

VK Galeb from Makarska won the second edition of the Šalata Masters international veteran water polo tournament held in Zagreb. In a closely contested final, VK Galeb defeated the host team, VK Val, with a score of 9:8.

VK Val secured the silver medal, while the team Nude took third place after winning a penalty shootout. The tournament, held at the Šalata pool, featured high-level veteran competition and emphasized the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle through sports after professional careers end.

Organizer Ivan Bumber noted that water polo is an ideal sport for older players as the water environment reduces joint strain, allowing for continued competitive play and social connection.
