Vlaams-Brabant launches mobile archaeological escape room

The province of Vlaams-Brabant has launched ‘Het Onvoltooide Onderzoek’, a mobile archaeological escape room designed to engage new audiences with heritage through interactive play. The project, developed by Trèscape with historical accuracy provided by KU Leuven archaeology students, allows participants to step into the roles of trainee archaeologists in a 13th-century setting.

Participants spend 60 minutes attempting to solve a historical mystery surrounding Hendrik I, the first Duke of Brabant, by reconstructing traces and analyzing materials. The mobile experience is scheduled to make its final stop at Provinciedomein Halve Maan in Diest starting September 19.
