Vlachovo Březí football stadium reopens after two‑year renovation
The football stadium in the South Bohemian village of Vlachovo Březí was officially reopened on Saturday, 18 July, after a two‑year reconstruction that upgraded the playing surface and facilities. The €10 million project, funded by the club, the municipality and the South Bohemian Region, added a new irrigation system, updated goals, benches for spectators and modern locker rooms.
The inauguration attracted nearly 500 spectators and featured three matches: a youth game, a friendly between the club’s veteran side and nearby SK Lhenice, and a main fixture pitting FC Vlachovo Březí’s A‑team against Dynamo České Budějovice. Regional officials—including deputy governors David Štojdl and Tomáš Hajdušek, České Budějovice mayor Dagmar Škodová Parmová, and football federation representatives Tomáš Pintér and Roman Švarc—attended and praised the new facilities.
