Vlad Iftime reports tenfold growth in family business turnover

Vlad Iftime, CEO of a family-owned business group, reported that the company’s turnover grew tenfold over the last decade. According to statements made on the “Fain și Simplu” podcast, the business had a turnover of 7 million euros when he took over at age 30 and reached 70 million euros by the end of last year.

Before assuming leadership, Iftime worked as an unskilled construction worker, an experience his father, Valeriu Iftime, intended to prepare him for the responsibilities of managing a large enterprise. The family’s business interests span sectors including energy, water and sewerage, IT, and industrial automation.

Valeriu Iftime is a prominent figure in Botoșani, serving as the owner of the FC Botoșani football club and holding leadership roles within the National Liberal Party (PNL). Vlad Iftime noted the difficulty of maintaining family legacies, stating that “70% of family businesses die in the second generation.”
