Vladan Vukosavljević criticizes censorship of Emir Kusturica

Former minister Vladan Vukosavljević has commented on the censorship of filmmaker Emir Kusturica, describing the situation as a “global shame” that goes beyond a mere scandal.

Vukosavljević stated that the censorship of Kusturica reflects a resurgence of totalitarian tendencies reminiscent of dystopian literature by authors such as George Orwell and Aldous Huxley. He characterized these actions as a form of “inquisition” and the persecution of dissenters, suggesting that such pressures are a reaction to the declining dominance of Western civilization.
