Vladimir Putin claims Russian military is accelerating offensive operations

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in an interview that enemy actions have not impacted the situation on the battlefield. He claimed that the Russian military has accelerated its offensive operations and is successfully achieving the goals of its special military operation, advancing in all directions.

Putin emphasized the need to strengthen Russia's air defense systems and improve coordination between security agencies, civil administration, government institutions, and private companies. This follows Ukrainian long-range strikes targeting Russian infrastructure.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the ongoing strategy of long-range retaliatory strikes. Recent Ukrainian attacks targeted the Perm oil refinery and the Marinovka military airfield in the Volgograd region, located over 1,600 kilometers from the border.
