Vladimir Putin maintains high approval ratings in Russian polls

Recent polling data from VTsIOM and FOM indicates high levels of public trust in Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to VTsIOM, 72% of respondents trust Putin, while 67.7% approve of his performance as president. FOM reported similar findings, with approximately 70% of respondents expressing trust in him and 70% stating he performs his duties well.

Regarding the Russian government, VTsIOM found a 45.2% approval rating, while FOM reported that 45% of Russians believe the government is doing its job well. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also maintains significant support; VTsIOM recorded a 55.3% trust level in him, while FOM reported a 49% positive rating for his work.

Both polling organizations noted that United Russia would be the most popular political party if State Duma elections were held next week, with VTsIOM reporting 39.2% support and FOM reporting 32%.

The VTsIOM survey was conducted between August 17 and 23 among 1,600 adults with a margin of error of 2.5%. The FOM survey was conducted between August 21 and 23 among 1,500 respondents with a margin of error of up to 3.6%.
