Vladimir Putin recounts encounter with Siberian tiger

During a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian President Vladimir Putin shared an account of a close encounter with a Siberian tiger. He described driving through a forest when a tiger emerged and blocked the path of his vehicle.

Putin referred to the animal as the ‘master of the taiga,’ noting that the tiger wagged its tail and showed no intention of moving out of the way. The Siberian tiger is a prominent symbol of the Vladivostok region, appearing on both its official flag and coat of arms.
