Vladimir Putin uses Dell monitor and unactivated Windows during electronic vote
During the electronic voting process for the State Duma elections, official footage released by the Kremlin showed Russian President Vladimir Putin using a computer setup that featured Western technology.
Observers noted that the monitor used was an older Dell model, identified by some technical analyses as a Dell UltraSharp U3011, a product originally released around 2010. Additionally, a “Activate Windows” watermark was clearly visible in the bottom right corner of the screen, indicating that the operating system had not completed its activation process.
The presence of the watermark does not necessarily confirm the use of unlicensed software, as such messages can appear due to hardware changes or configuration errors. However, the use of American-branded hardware and software stands in contrast to Russia’s long-term policy of promoting domestic technology and reducing reliance on Western products.
