Vladimir Temelkov rejoins GERB party

Vladimir Temelkov, the former Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv, has rejoined the GERB political party. His return comes only about a month after he publicly announced his departure from the organization.

Boyko Borissov, the leader of GERB, announced Temelkov’s return during a party event in Vratsa, stating that Temelkov expressed a desire to return. Temelkov confirmed the news via social media, citing his friendship with Borissov as a primary reason for accepting the invitation to rejoin the team. He expressed his intention to justify the trust placed in him through work and results.

Temelkov previously held responsibilities in education, digitalization, European policies, and business development in Plovdiv. His departure from the municipal administration followed tensions with Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov. While he has not specified a new official party or administrative role, he emphasized his continued ambition regarding the future of Plovdiv and his commitment to addressing injustices in the city.
