Vladimir Z. arrested in Croatia for Nord Stream sabotage FAST-MOVING

A second suspect in the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage case, identified as Vladimir Z., has been arrested in Pula, Croatia. The arrest was carried out by local police following a European arrest warrant issued by the German Federal Prosecutor's Office.

Vladimir Z., a trained Ukrainian diver, is suspected of participating in the September 2022 explosions that damaged the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines near the Danish island of Bornholm. Investigators believe the operation was conducted from a sailing boat at a depth of approximately 80 meters. The suspect faces charges including unconstitutional sabotage, causing an explosive explosion, and the destruction of structures.

This arrest follows a previous incident where the suspect was located in Poland but was not extradited to Germany, causing diplomatic tension. He is believed to be part of a group that includes Serhii K., a former Ukrainian officer who was arrested in Italy in August 2025 and subsequently extradited to Germany.
