Vladimír Darida to undergo knee surgery following ligament tear

Hradec Králové player Vladimír Darida has been diagnosed with a torn medial collateral ligament. He is scheduled for knee surgery next week and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the year.

Coach David Horejš described Darida as a dominant player and a key leader both on the pitch and in the locker room. While the injury is a significant blow to the team, officials noted there was relief that it was not a more severe cruciate ligament injury, which would have required a much longer recovery period.

Darida is expected to return to full training by late January. Despite his absence, Hradec Králové recently secured a 3-1 victory against Prostějov in the MOL Cup round of 16.
