Vladimíra Marcinková seeks urgent medical care after wasp sting

Slovak MP Vladimíra Marcinková, representing the Sloboda a Solidarita party, required urgent medical attention following a wasp sting. The incident occurred late in the summer after she had dropped her daughter off for the new school year.

Marcinková reported that the sting caused significant facial swelling and difficulty breathing during the night. She described a distressing experience while driving, noting that she had to pull over to the roadside to manage the reaction. Following medical advice, she sought treatment at an emergency department.

Due to the visible swelling, Marcinková has temporarily canceled public appearances and press conferences. She used the incident to warn others that allergic reactions to insect stings can worsen over time and may become life-threatening.
