VLEN Leads Albanian Voter Poll in North Macedonia, BDI Questions Survey
A poll carried out by Stratum R&D in June found that 34% of Albanian respondents in North Macedonia said they would vote for the VLEN coalition, compared with 30% for the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI). VLEN said this was the second poll in two months placing it ahead of BDI and highlighted recent achievements, including new legislation, the opening of a One‑Stop‑Shop at the Kosovo and Albanian borders, 306 local projects, more than 2,500 new businesses, the start of construction on the Mother Teresa University campus, a €20 million investment in the Skënderbeu square, a €74 million hospital reconstruction in Tetovo, the Skopje‑Blace highway and Corridor 8, and rises in wages and pensions.
BDI responded by accusing VLEN of fabricating the poll, saying the methodology lacks transparency about who commissioned and financed it, how the sample was selected, when the fieldwork occurred and what questions were asked. The party also cited Vesna Kuzmanoviq and called the poll a propaganda operation that cannot alter citizens' will.
