Players from the Argentine football club Vélez Sarsfield staged a protest regarding unpaid debts during their match against Tigre. The squad arrived at the José Amalfitani stadium in private vehicles and wore casual clothing instead of the official club kit to signal their dissatisfaction.

The protest was driven by outstanding bonuses and premiums owed to nine players. While the club's Board of Directors, led by Fabián Berlanga, maintained that regular salaries were up to date, they acknowledged the debt regarding specific contract bonuses. The board announced that these payments would be regularized immediately.

Despite the internal tension, the team secured a 3-2 victory, with Ronaldo Martínez scoring twice. The win places Vélez at the top of the Annual Table, tied with Independiente Rivadavia.
