Infra S.A. to auction five Norte-Sul Railway terminals in December
The Brazilian Ministry of Transport has announced a tender for five railway terminals located on the Norte-Sul Railway, managed by Infra S.A. The auction is scheduled for December 3 at the B3 exchange. The projects cover approximately 29.3 hectares and represent an estimated R$ 91.6 million in investments.
The assets include three liquid bulk terminals in the Porto Nacional Multimodal Integration Yard, designed for moving diesel, biodiesel, gasoline, and ethanol. Additionally, the tender includes two solid agricultural bulk terminals: TPN04 in Porto Nacional and TPT01 in Palmeirante. While these terminals currently have operators, their existing contracts are set to expire in December 2026. Proposals must be submitted via the B3 auction platform by November 26.
Separately, as part of the National Railway Safety Movement, companies VLI and Brado Logística conducted emergency response simulations in Maranhão and Minas Gerais. These exercises involved controlled collisions between trains and vehicles to demonstrate safety protocols and raise awareness regarding railway crossings, following reports of 2,685 railway-related traffic accidents in Brazil between 2021 and 2025.
