Vlorë hotel fire victim dies after receiving treatment in Turkey

A 25-year-old woman, Ana Dyrmishi, has died following a fire that broke out at the Brooklyn Hotel in the Lungomare area of Vlorë on August 16. Dyrmishi, who resided in the Shkozet area of Durrës, had sustained severe burns to approximately 85 percent of her body.

After receiving initial medical treatment in Albania, she was transferred to Turkey for specialized care. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. The fire, which occurred in the early morning hours, injured six people in total, including a citizen of Kosovo. During the incident, some guests were forced to escape the building via balconies to avoid the flames. Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire.
