VMFi introduces TransDisplay AI translation technology at IFA 2026

VMFi, a Tokyo-headquartered company with an AI development team in Taiwan, is introducing its TransDisplay technology at IFA 2026. The company aims to facilitate multilingual communication through its plug-and-play translation solution.

The flagship TransDisplay T30 model utilizes a transparent screen paired with a high-precision directional microphone. This design is intended to allow users to maintain natural eye contact while reading real-time, AI-driven translations, preserving the nuances of face-to-face human interaction.

VMFi is targeting sectors such as airports and government offices to promote “True Inclusiveness,” ensuring essential public services are accessible regardless of language barriers. For example, the Ōme City Government in Tokyo has deployed TransDisplay at its Children and Family Center to assist residents with sensitive consultations regarding pregnancy and childcare.
