VMRO-DPMNE accused of losing political direction by Vasko Eftov

Journalist Vasko Eftov has issued sharp criticisms against the VMRO-DPMNE political party, accusing it of complete deideologization and a loss of political direction. Eftov argues that the party has undergone a radical metamorphosis, shifting its perceived stance from being pro-Bulgarian to being pro-Serbian.

According to Eftov, these identity crises and internal conflicts began following historical leadership divisions between Lubčo Georgievski and Nikola Gruevski. He compared the party's shifting ideological profile to 'plasticine,' suggesting it lacks a consistent backbone and changes its narrative—moving between Bulgarian influences, Serbian influences, and ancient Macedonian emphasis—to suit immediate needs.
