VMRO-DPMNE criticizes SDSM leader Venko Filipče
The political party VMRO-DPMNE has launched a series of sharp criticisms against SDSM leader Venko Filipče. During a press conference on September 21, 2026, MP Brane Petrushevski accused Filipče of prioritizing personal interests, commissions, and tenders over the state and its citizens.
Petrushevski claimed that while Filipče advocates for higher wages, such as 600 euros, he simultaneously opposes critical economic developments including data centers, mines, and new job creation projects. The opposition further alleged that Filipče’s political stance is inconsistent with his past actions regarding national identity and international relations.
In a separate political exchange, VMRO-DPMNE representatives criticized the SDSM-led Centar Municipality, citing issues with urban management, pest control, and infrastructure, such as potholes, while accusing the party of prioritizing illegal construction permits and financial scandals.
