VMRO-DPMNE pushes for diaspora voting rights and party funding reform

Antonio Milošoski, Vice President of the Assembly and representative for VMRO-DPMNE, has stated that the party maintains its position regarding diaspora voting rights. The party advocates for allowing citizens living abroad to vote via electronic or postal methods to modernize the electoral process.

Milošoski indicated that VMRO-DPMNE is prepared to support proposals for the public funding of political parties, a measure suggested by the Levica and DUI parties. Additionally, the party expressed willingness to accept a single electoral unit if a political consensus is reached.

The party aims to align the Electoral Code with OSCE/ODIHR recommendations. Milošoski noted that the reform process faces challenges, specifically citing the boycott by SDSM and disagreements regarding the use of funds intended for political advertising during campaigns.
