VMRO-DPMNE rejects increasing retirement age

VMRO-DPMNE representative Dijana Ilievska has stated that the government will not increase the statutory retirement age. She noted that while problems have been identified, specific measures are being taken to address them, including a new budget with a strong developmental component intended to improve economic indicators.

Ilievska highlighted that the government fulfilled a previous commitment by providing a linear pension increase of 7,000 denars, exceeding the initial 5,000 denars pledge. She emphasized that for households with two pensioners, this results in an additional 14,000 denars per month, aimed at improving living standards and helping citizens cope with daily costs.
