VMRO-DPMNE criticizes SDSM leadership and Venco Filipce
The opposition party VMRO-DPMNE has launched a series of sharp criticisms against the SDSM leadership, specifically targeting party president Venco Filipce. Antonio Miloshoski, a VMRO-DPMNE MP, accused Filipce of attempting to divert political debate toward Serbian affairs to avoid addressing internal party issues, declining personal ratings, and a lack of cohesion within the SDSM.
VMRO-DPMNE officials, including spokesperson Valentin Manasievski, further alleged that former SDSM leaders Zoran Zaev, Venco Filipce, and Dimitar Kovachevski maintained overly close relationships with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The opposition claims these leaders promoted foreign influences and failed to protect Macedonian national interests.
Additionally, former SDSM member Andrej Petrov has raised allegations of irregularities regarding the election of Venco Filipce as party president, claiming there are indications that deceased members were recorded as having voted via electronic cards. Petrov has called for Filipce to step down to allow for a more transparent voting process.
