VNeID app integrates digital signature services for citizens
The Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, under the Ministry of Public Security, has announced that citizens can now register for digital signature certificates directly through the VNeID application. This integration is a strategic technological step to facilitate digital transformation and streamline online public services.
Digital signatures provide the same legal validity as handwritten signatures, allowing users to sign electronic documents and complete transactions on their mobile devices without the need to print, sign, and scan paperwork. This feature aims to increase efficiency and security for citizens, businesses, and government agencies.
Currently, service providers are offering free digital signature packages for the first 12 months. Users may also be eligible to extend these services without additional fees after the initial period. To register, users must log in to VNeID, navigate to ‘Other Services’, select ‘Digital Signature Certificate’, and follow the prompts to choose a provider.
