VNeID app introduces direct password recovery feature
The VNeID application has integrated a direct password recovery function on mobile devices to assist users in regaining access to their electronic identification accounts. This feature allows users to recover their accounts without needing to create new ones.
The recovery process involves several steps: selecting the ‘Forgot Password’ option, entering the registered phone number and Citizen Identity Card (CCCD) number, or using NFC authentication via the identity card. Users must then provide personal details, including full name, date of birth, and the date the CCCD was issued.
Identity verification is completed via an OTP code sent to the registered phone number. Once verified, the system issues a new password to the user's phone, allowing them to log in and subsequently update their credentials to a secure, memorable password.
