Vĩnh Long Province to Mobilize Over 332,000 billion VND for Housing by 2030

The People's Committee of Vĩnh Long Province approved a plan to raise about 332,213 billion VND for housing development through 2030. Only roughly 536 billion VND will come from the state budget, with the remainder sourced from external financing and a new local housing fund.

The programme aims to raise the average floor area per person to 36 m² (38 m² in urban areas, 34.9 m² in rural areas) and to construct more than 20,500 social‑housing units, including 19,519 for low‑income families, 989 for armed‑forces personnel and 2,000 worker dormitories. Additional targets include 549 public‑housing units, about 40,368 commercial homes and over 208,000 self‑built houses, bringing the province’s total floor area to roughly 38 million m².

The plan also calls for the creation of a local housing fund, streamlined land allocation, administrative reforms and the use of digital technologies. New projects will be designed as smart, green, climate‑adapted urban districts to improve living standards.
