VNPT and PTIT partner to develop AI-Native University model

Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) have signed a cooperation agreement to develop artificial intelligence in education. The partnership aims to research and master specialized Vietnamese Large Language Models (LLM) for educational purposes and develop an AI Tutor platform.

A primary goal of the collaboration is the gradual construction of an ‘AI-Native University’ model. VNPT AI will lead the core technology research, focusing on developing and integrating AI capabilities into practical educational environments. PTIT will contribute specialized research, educational data, pedagogical standards, and assessment methods to validate and refine the technology.

The initiative emphasizes the need for AI in education to be accurate and logical rather than just providing plausible-sounding answers. VNPT AI is working on models that can explain reasoning processes and ensure the reliability of information provided to learners. The group's existing AI systems have already processed over 1,800 billion tokens across various sectors including finance and telecommunications.
