VNVC and Sanofi to produce new vaccines in Vietnam

Vietnam Vaccine Company (VNVC) and the French pharmaceutical group Sanofi have signed a joint declaration to produce three generations of new vaccines in Vietnam. The agreement was announced during the Vietnam-France Business Forum in Paris, involving discussions with Vietnamese General Secretary and President Tô Lâm and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The partnership focuses on producing three essential vaccines: a 6-in-1 vaccine containing acellular pertussis, seasonal influenza, and meningococcal vaccines. These products are categorized as strategic technology products by the Vietnamese government to enhance domestic medical autonomy.

The VNVC Vaccine and Biologicals Factory is scheduled to complete construction in 2027, with production beginning in 2028 and commercialization expected in 2029. The project aims to supply tens of millions of doses annually to Vietnam, the Southeast Asian region, and the global supply chain.
