Vocalist Stojan Zdravevski of Bitola’s Boemi Group Dies at 63
Stojan Zdravevski, known as Stole, the 63‑year‑old co‑founder, vocalist and clarinetist of the Bitola‑based folk group Boemi, died after a prolonged illness. The band announced his passing on its official Facebook page, describing him as a long‑time friend and collaborator.
Zdravevski performed with Boemi for more than three decades, appearing at concerts, festivals, weddings and family celebrations throughout North Macedonia and among the Macedonian diaspora. He was celebrated for his warm, distinctive voice and his modest, cheerful personality.
His remains will be displayed on 1 August at the Church of St Demetrius in Bitola from 11:00, after which a funeral will be held at the old Sunday graves at 13:00.
