Vocap introduces new parental controls for teenage accounts

Vocap has announced the introduction of new parental control features designed for teenage accounts. These tools allow parents and guardians to manage how teenagers interact with the application and regulate their access to Meta AI functions.

Specific controls include the ability to determine who can view a teenager's profile photo, who can add them to groups, and who can see their status updates. Parents can also limit the use of the Channels feature. To ensure security, all settings are protected by a PIN established by the parent. Additionally, parents will receive notifications when a teenager joins or leaves a group, or when a group's membership increases significantly.

For users over 13, parents can choose between default Meta AI settings or a 'Limited Content' mode, which restricts certain data-processing functions such as anonymous chats and message summaries. Vocap emphasized that these controls do not permit parents to read private messages or listen to calls, as all communications remain protected by end-to-end encryption (E2EE).
