Vocational and technical education trends in Poland
Vocational and technical education in Poland is seeing increased interest as students seek practical skills to meet labor market demands. In Tarnów, the Rzemieślnicza Branżowa Szkoła I Stopnia is celebrating its 20th anniversary, having graduated approximately 1,700 students over two decades. The institution currently educates 564 students across 23 classes.
Andrzej Kuta, president of the Tarnów Chamber of Crafts, emphasized that craftsmanship remains a vital driver of the economy. Similarly, in Częstochowa, educators at the Zespół Szkół Mechaniczno-Elektrycznych im. Pułaskiego highlight the advantages of technical paths. Ewa Teperska noted that technical education provides a flexible career trajectory, allowing students to enter the workforce immediately or pursue higher studies later. These programs often involve direct cooperation with industrial and electrical companies, providing students with internships and direct pathways to employment.
