Vocational training and entrepreneurship initiatives expand in Oran and Ebolowa

In Oran, Algeria, there has been a significant surge in registrations for the October 2026 vocational training session. As of last Thursday, 13,918 individuals have registered via the online TAKWIN platform. The local directorate of Vocational Training and Education has prepared approximately 12,000 pedagogical places for the upcoming term. To meet market demands and national project needs, three new specialties are being introduced: cybersecurity (networks and computer security), integrated electronics and intelligent systems, and automotive charging and lighting circuit maintenance.

In Ebolowa, Cameroon, the Ministry of SMEs, Social Economy and Handicrafts reaffirmed its support for youth entrepreneurship during a graduation ceremony for the 5th cohort of CFP-MAITE at the Regional Artisanal Village. The event highlighted the strategic role of business incubation, specifically noting the work of Incubator Veindor in supporting and mentoring trainees. This initiative aligns with government policies aimed at using entrepreneurship as a driver for economic growth and employment.
