Vocational training institutes launch new courses in Mexico

Various educational and vocational training institutes in Mexico are launching new course offerings to promote employment and self-employment.

In San Luis Potosí, the Instituto de Capacitación para el Trabajo (Icat) has opened low-cost courses for September. The curriculum includes barbering, nail and eyelash application, LED sign making, English, and Japanese, aimed at helping residents acquire new trades or start businesses.

In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, two institutions are expanding access to education. The Centro de Educación Extraescolar (CEDEX) is enrolling students aged 16 and older for primary and secondary education, alongside workshops in English, sewing, barbering, and pastry. These courses are officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública.

Additionally, the Instituto Tamaulipeco de Capacitación para el Empleo (ITACE) in Nuevo Laredo is starting technical and practical workshops on September 7. Offerings include marketing, Canva, crochet, and pastry, with Saturday sessions available to accommodate working students.
