Vocational training programs expand in Dominican Republic and Mexico
In the Dominican Republic, the National Institute of Technical Professional Training (Infotep), in collaboration with the Genera ITM Foundation and the Catholic Technological University of Barahona (Ucateba), has certified 59 participants in a cruise port diploma program. This initiative aims to strengthen the local workforce in Pedernales to support the region's tourism transformation and ensure economic benefits reach the local population through qualified employment.
In Mexico, the Institute for Training State Workers of Baja California Sur (ICATEBCS) and the Industrial and Services Technological Baccalaureate Center 230 (CBTIS 230) have signed a collaboration agreement. The partnership focuses on providing training and competency certification for students, teachers, and administrative staff. The agreement includes professional practice opportunities for students and the ability for staff to obtain official recognition of occupational competence based on work experience.
