Vodacom Bulls prepare for United Rugby Championship opener against Zebre

The Vodacom Bulls are set to begin their United Rugby Championship campaign this Saturday with an away match against Zebre at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi. Head coach Johan Ackermann is emphasizing the need for immediate momentum to avoid the sluggish starts experienced in previous seasons and to secure a position in the top four.

Despite a challenging upcoming itinerary that includes a trip to Munster and a derby against the Lions, Ackermann has selected a 26-man touring squad. The roster combines veteran experience with new talent, featuring Springbok fullback Willie le Roux, new signing Thaakir Abrahams, and flyhalf Curwin Bosch. The squad also includes international flanker Hanro Liebenberg and captain Marcell Coetzee.
