The deal expands Vodacom’s footprint across faster‑growing African markets and raises the contribution of financial services to over 22% of group service revenue.

Financial‑services revenue grew 17.8% to R4.5 billion, and mobile‑money platforms processed transactions worth US$547.9 billion over the past year. The group upgraded its medium‑term EBITDA and free‑cash‑flow growth targets to early‑teens and lifted its Vision 2030 revenue ambition from more than R200 billion to over R300 billion. CEO Shameel Joosub described the transaction as a defining moment that strengthens scale, diversification and long‑term growth prospects.
